This is My fav. Last summer got a crow at 650yds.
thats some different fluting than im used to seeing, i like it, oh especially the fact that the bolt is on the left!
That rifle looks great! Sounds like it shoots too!
Thanks. It has 10 flutes. I picked up the barrel cheap and decided to experiment. As most people will say you shouldn't flute after it's rifled and you shouldn't flute with a ball end mill because of stress, but it shot better after I fluted it then before. I have grown very attached to this cartridge.
That bolt shroud is very nice. Is that a production piece?
No It was a ISS, so I made a new one out of SS cuz I didn't like the alum ones. I also made a new firing pin (a fluted one) and bought a non iss cocking piece. Other than looking up info, parts, and getting ideas on the web I can't stand sitting in the house. With my lathe and mill less than 50yds away when I get an idea I'm running to the garage. Some good some not so good.
I secondthe motion. Very nice rifle...from one lefty to another.
