OK, doing a build for accuracy, barrel I have has a threaded muzzle, for best accuracy should I
a) leave it alone, nothing on threads
b) put on thread protector
c) put on muzzle device
d) get the threads cut off and crowned

It is a lothar walther barrel NIB.

You definitely want the threads protected and the crown needs to be protected too. It is a bit odd to get a barrel brand new with no thread protector. Usually it is in the scope of delivery.

I personally prefer a recessed target crown since it is harder to damage the crown on one of those than with a "regular" target crown. Of course one needs to exercise particular care when cleaning the bore to not damage the crown or the throat. The throat is easily taken care of with a guide that slips in the action, but protecting the crown is not so easy since the muzzle tends to be non standardized.

... esp., APS, muscle brake, or any of the site sponsor's brake.
