I see in all the ballistic calculators, they want to see scope height in inches. I'm assuming this is from the center of the barrel to the center of the scope glass. Is that correct? Any good method to do this or is it just a measuring tape and a qualified guess? Haven't seen info on this or I missed it on the forum. Thanks for any guidance.

I use to use a formula of different measurements to get the circumference of the bell and so forth. It's been a waste of time getting it down to a 100th. Calculator rounds it anyways. Just measure from the gas port on the side of the barrel to the center of the ring or the center of the tube. Never had a problem that way, and is faster overall especially using a micrometer.
