McMillan Edge Stock bedding?

My edge stock has finally turned up for my Remington Model 7 & looks great. What sort of bedding is required to ensure the rifle shoots to its full potential? There already seems to be some thin aluminium pillars so maybe a skim bed might suffice. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

I know people that just skim bed their Edge actions as they are already sorted in the pillar department.
Others drop straight in and shoot with good results.

Did you get a painted finish or are you leaving it unpainted and polish it up to show off the carbon?

Mine is on order, 5-6 months away
