Hi to all! I hail from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
I have been shooting (all),most my whole life, but have only discovered accurate and long range shooting at my relatively advanced age, about 7 years ago, I am now 55)
.I think I was happier when I was ignorant.
I have learned so much lately and now I realize I do not shoot all that well after all !
After reading what you guys get up to puts me to shame a bit but I have decided to live with my limitations and perfect the art of accurate shooting out to 500 meters.
Once , if ,gun)gun)I get that right I shall try and stretch matters.
I shoot an RSA 308 single shot and am in the last stages of building a custom 270.
once it is up and running I shall inform you and probably start nagging.
have a lovely day.
Peter

I still consider 1000 feet to be a long shot, so 500 meters done well, and competently, gets nothing but respect from me.
