Looking for a place to go hunt

I'm in So. Cal. and am looking for a ranch to go harvest my first 4 legged animal. I would like to get something that tastes really good (boar, deer, bison, etc...). I will be using a 30-06. Also, I'm willing to travel to CO, AZ, and NV for my first hunt.

Try a pig hunt at Tejon ranch or one of the guide operations on the coast around San Louis Obispo or Paso Robles.
Stay away from hunting with dogs your first few times. Do a spot and stalk hunt.
Hogs are a good starting point, they are plentiful and pretty wary. They will teach you how to use the wind to your advantage and you need to be reasonably quiet to get close. If you want to eat it shoot a hundred pounder.
