For the past couple years that I have been into the longrange hunting thing, I have been trying to video some of my hunts. Just this past season, I videoed three hunts out to 1015 yds. The other two being 730, and 570. None of my videos are worth a crap. So I purchased a used, but like new GL2 camera to video with for the upcoming season. I tried videoing some deer with it after season went out at some decent yardages, but it didn't do any better than my cheap camera. I looked into buying a telephoto lense. WOW! Not paying that kind of cash for a zoom lense. Recently, I found a video on youtube called "tinesup". After watching all their videos, I ordered the kit they sell on their website "tinesup.com". Their kit is inexpensive compared to the price I got in my GL2, not to mention if I would of bought a lense for it. Anyway, I got my new setup, and it is sweet. I should be able to see bullet impacts at extremely long distances. (Depending on how bad the mirage that day). Just thought I would put the info out there for anyone looking for longrange videoing. I wish I would of known about this kit I got 5 months ago. Anyone want to but a Canon GL2 video camera with extra batteries, 2X lense, wide angle lense, hard case, and charger? Excellent close range camera. Not good for distant recording.
