Hello all,
My gunsmith called to let me know my new rifle will be ready on Friday. I am looking for some suggestions on loads for the 140 Sierra and 129 Nosler. Berger was kind enough to send me their info, but thought I would ask here as well. Thanks in advance.

You can use 6.5 STW if you can find some. I will try to find mine.

Thanks everyone for your responses. How about starting charges for those that have played a bit. 6.5 stw would be great.
Thanks!

6.5 STW from Shooting Times september 1999

125 Ballistic Tip...H4831sc....73.0...3,422 fps
125 Partition.......RL22..........75......3,460

140 Grand Slam.RL22...........72.0..3,228

This is about 1/4-1/3 of what is listed. But this gets you started.

You have to be getting more speed from this cartridge...

I am getting over 3600fps (magnetospeed) with a 140 SST in a 270 Wby (smaller case) in a 28" barrel...with H1000...

You should be pushing the 140 gr bullets much faster as I have pushed a Woodleigh 160gr PPSN with a .509BC to 3261fps in my 264WM although it is showing pressure signs so I will back off to 3200fps and hope the pressure signs go away, this is from a Shilen 30 inch barrel.

all depends on his barrel length you will get more speed out of a longer barrel
