Lightweight Longrange Gun??

Heck LTTR, I think Scenar whacks them in MT and WY... you got a WY spot?

You guys have some great rifles for sure!

Thr grizzlies ate all our black bears. Had some good spots for black bears. Now I have some excellent grizzly hunting. They will not give me a atg though.

I sure hope that changes for you/us.... no reason not to give out 10-20 Griz tags a year in each state...(WY/MT)...

I've been looking at the longrange guns for a few weeks now, reading everything I can. What I am seeing, consistently, are heavy barrels, heavy stocks, big, long, heavy packages in general...

Have you looked into Cross Canyon Arms with Master Gunsmith Brad Stair?

He just built my dad a 300 Tejas Short Mag in a Carbon Barrel. This things a shooter, 3350 fps with a 168grn VLD and I cant say that it tips heavier then 7lbs, I should weigh it to find out. He's guaranteeing less then 1/2" moa accuracy and I've seen it shoot groups better then that already.

Nothing shoots faster then a Tejas gun)

I use a custom .340wby built on a rem 700 action. #2 lilja barrel. Leupold VX3 6x42 fixed scope. I'm good to 1000 if I can get a good rest. Heavy guns make long range easier but it can be done with a light gun as long as it's very accurate to start.
