I couldn't find anything on their website, but if it's brand new for 2011, it may not be showing there yet?

That would be a nice addition.

He might be referring to the stop that they put on the CDS dial, but that limits you to one rotation, with 200 zero that is typically 700 tops. I ordered mine to 1000 and they did not take out stop, so I did

Check out Cloud Peak Gunworks website or shoot him an email. He makes a pretty cool zero stop for Leupold sccopes. Cloud Peak Gunworks Home Page

leupold is really missing the boat as well a most scope makers, GIVE US A FREAKIN ZERO STOP!!!!! IMO it should be on all scopes with a target turret. its pretty simple for them to make, the graybull scope has a zero stop and it has a plain ole target turret with a zero stop.

the CDS turret is a nice setup but you only have 15 MOA to work with.

At least on your model it has a scale on turret barrel where you can see location, and it climbs as you dial. I have a older 4-14 leupold tact. Has the cap target style turret, maybe 02 model, retro cds dial, I DONT see dial climb, I was going to mark with knive for refernce. Can anyone enlighten me, Im guessing maybe wassher shim mark 4 for zero stop, havent looked to close at it

the graybull scope looks to me like it has a set screw that threads through the top of the turret cap and just tightens against the part the elevation adjustment stem comes through.

another and I would think simple way is to just install some round shims below the turret cap somewhat like the way vortex does it but not have them be in halves just round then put the cap back on and when you adjust the elevation back down it will just tighten against the shims.

Thanks. The washers I was thinking would work, but that threaded screw on top might help you fine tune the stop, due to thickness difference in washers. I am going to try it once I get load set up.

the thing I worry about with the threaded set screw though is once it bottoms out on the stem body it would likely gall it and rub on it.

Sounds like you have this set up? Or saw it. Im just guessing but the stem is seperate of the base and the cap is locked to the stem, so it is a matter of a little adjustment on stem, that top screw down would probably help, once you have it set it would not need to be moved often.

Send it to leupold custom shop and have the turrets upgraded to what you want

I already did that, but scope is a mark3 and I would say by using it, inheritley different. Had cds installed, on older tact.T urret operates different then my mark 4, for which I am sure I can come up with a zero stop for it, after pulling cap.
