Leupold Vari X iii 4.5-14x50

    Anyone currently using one of these scopes! I understand it is a older model being the Vari X iii series. I was more curious about the light transmission with the 1" tube and a 50 mm bell! I have the chance to pick one up, but don't know much about this model! Thanks

    I have the 3.5-10 x 40 "tactical" and optics are clear/crisp. Have used it out past 750 yds in overcast type weather. Never used it in early morning or evening lowlight hunting.

    I would look at putting the M1 or target knobs on it if it does not have them.
