does anyone out there sell the 700 action in left hand. i can't find one new for the life of me. maybe i should just buy a cheap used gun to get one. but thats even hard to get

Not sure what kind of project you have in mind, but I would buy a used gun with a left hand action. You should be able to find them in the blued models obviously or silver/satin color like from a LSS as an example. Don't know who has them in left hand new other than shelf gun new,sorry. I prefer my hunting guns in the left hand bolt but prefer my target and guns from a workbench (ok, prairie dog town bench /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)to be right bolt as I am able to see the case going in and coming out as they are used in a single shot mode because of COL. I don't own a custom action yet that would allow me a left bolt/right port, someday possibly. Good luck.
