Lawton Actions and Barrels

Thanks Kirby, I am sure it's going to shoot very well. I mean look who's going to be working on it, non other than Kirby Allen himself, LOL. I am sure I will be very happy!!!
Have a good night Kirby.

Hi Bob,
Do you mean you can have a 10 shot 7/ 416? So it could be a 30/378 weatherby just as easily? Is the 338 lapua a bit smaller? Is that why people can put them into rem 700 actions?
I would love a 10 shot 7mm allen mag.
How much do these actions & 10 shot mags cost?
Regards

Yes I ,am having a 7mm416 built now. It cannot be chambered 378 because the 416 dont have a belt. But it can ,and probley will be a 30-416 or a 338-416. I do have a 338 378 and it shoots great

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply. What brand of brass are you going to use in your 7mm/416 ? What action is your 338/378 built on? how much are the lawton actions & 10 shot mags?
Regards.

As far as I know yhe only one to make 416 Rigby brass is Norma and Jameson I use Norma I don,t know the price of the complete action yet but it is a Lawton I ,am using a Kreiger barrel 32inch 1.350 down to 1inch with break. Again I will probley end up going to 338-416 down the road ,because of such overbore. But It should send the 162 Hornadays out around 38to 3900 fps

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply.
Now you really have my interest. I have a 7mm stw & am getting 3100 with 162 amaxs. So 3800-3900 is really something. What twist rate are you using? Are 7/416 cases formed available
