I decided to do a ladder test with 7828 SSC out of my 7 Mag. The gun was shooting well with the 7828 SSC node. I decided to go with mostly .3 grains steps instead of .2 grains. We were talking about how most ladder tests are done with only one round per charge weight, so I wanted to change that. We were thinking just one shot might be limiting. If we went three shots per charge weight, it might show more of a node. 60 grains to 61.7 grains Velocity lowest to highest 2722 FPS 60 GRAINS 2732 60 2735 60.2 2736 60 2742 60.2 2756 60.5 2765 60.5 2766 60.2 2766 60.8 2770 61.1 2772 60.5 2774 60.8 2775 61.1 2777 61.1 2779 60.8 2789 61.4 2789 61.7 2791 61.4 2793 61.7 2800 61.4 2806 61.7 I didn't shoot for groups, only speed because I was using a Magneto. We recently purchased a Labadar so that will change. Observations 60 14 ES 60.2 30 ES 60.5 16 ES 60.8 13 ES 61.1 7 ES 61.4 11 ES 61.7 17 ES I decided to go with 61 grains of powder 60.8 had a low of 2766 and a high of 2779 for 13 ES 61.1 had a low of 2770 and a high of 2777 for 7 ES I have tested only 5 shots of the 61 grains with these results which were a little slower. 2755 2748 2751 2757 2755 with an SD of 3.24 and ES of 9
