[QUOTE="vegas steve, post: 1283532, member: 47484"] there is only one interface area where a dovetail of the buttstock slides into the rear tang of the receiver area of the front part of the chassis.this connection has a very poor tolerance, and is a very loose fit considering it is the only area that mates the two pieces together.i had to add shims at the top of the dovetail area just so the buttstock wouldnt arch upward at the recoil pad when tightened and make the chassis look warped like a banana.the rear action screw doubles as the bottom screw to help hold the buttstock to the rest of the chassis,so if you only torque the action screw to 65 inch pounds it does nothing at all to increase any rigidity at the connection.even after shimming and giving the bolts a good tightening the buttstock has alot of side to side flex.it was just made too thin to to save weight.hopefully the whiskey 3 isnt like the xray.for the money spent the xray feels more like a kids toy to me than a high end chassis.
