Throw the dang'd stuff away. Back in the "day", all the manuals said 60 gr of 4831 and the 130 gr Sierra was good for the magic 3000 fps plus. It did shoot pretty well, hung around .75 MOA for and harvested may mule deer. Then I bought the Oehler chrony, the first one with the paper screens. My favorite load was going a bit over 2800 fps. The finding resulted in a major depression. Since then 4831 and I have had an estranged relation ship. Maybe in one of the larger calibers with a heavy bullet and a case large enough to to hold some powder. I've tried 4831 in a 338 Win and 338 RUM with less than impressive results. 7828ssc seems to out do it in the cartridges I've tried. Oh, and after thought, don't use light loads of 4831 in anything like a 22-243. The/a secondary/reflected pressure wave makes things come apart. Makes your hand tingle as pieces are spread around the firing line. Was there once as a witness.
