Automated equipment is too exspensive. So I have a 6x284 that I have mistakenly not turned any necks.I forgot about trying to insert a bullet into fired case untill yesterday. It doesn't fit. Any how would I be hurting the potential of rifle to have the Gunsmith who built my rifle to open up the neck to avoid turning the necks? I have a forester hand turner.Maybe I hire some one to play the violin while I turn the necks by hand. Lifes tough!

I had the same problem, i had a smith run a neck reamer in it to open it up. the only problem i have is i ordered the wrong size neck reamer. if you order one make sure you get atleast a .278 or larger. my loaded rounds are .275 and when i ordered it i told him off of memory to make it a .275. i now just have to make a cleaning pass on my brass, but i would like to not even have too.

d-a

oh the gun shoots as good if not better after the neck was opened up
