I am intersested in the 185gr VLDs also, but i do not handload. How are the HSMs with VLDs

I've never shot it, so I'm going to make an educated assumption. (someone feel free to correct me if they know different)

I've handloaded the VLD's, and as sensitive as they are to seating depth, my opinion is that unless your rifle prefers them at "x depth" as they come from HSM, they are not going to impress you. I would buy a box and see if you get lucky if thats the route you're looking at.

You may want to look into the Federal Gold Metal Match line (depending on caliber, Im assuming .308/ 300 win based on 185 VLD info) if factory ammo is a must. I have had good luck with it.
