How do I adjust the trigger pull on a Browning A bolt II .223 I just acquired - factory setting is awful?

pwd:

Take the trigger guard off.(2 screws)
Behind the trigger is a small straight slotted screw. I believe turning it in(clockwise) lightens the trigger pull.
Out increases the pull. The Browning owners manual has a section on trigger adjustment.

The best I could do with mine is about 3+ a little. course I use a light weight fish scale to measure the pull.

Midway Supply has replacement springs for the Browning A-Bolt. Kit comes with 2 springs Med. and Lite. The Med worked for me about 2.5lbs. Replacement of the springs is pretty easy, they come with instructions. Didn't have to use the lead mallet once.
