Tom, I find this interesting and have to ask. What is the chambering for a 150 moa of elevation? Also I did try a 8x32 NXS once. The limited 65 moa was not enough and on 32x the limited field of view and added mirage was bad on some days. That was why I went back to the 5.5x22. Somewhere between 22x and 32x there will be a sweet spot and the ED glass could have a play in here too. The reasoning behind the thicker reticle I got from NF was requests from older shooters with fading eye sight. I think they said these requests came from out east where long shots in to tree limbs and brush were a factor. So the common thought of it being all tactical may not have been the entire reasoning. This also adds credit to your suggestion of a letter or e-mail to NF. They need to hear what we want and need. Shawn stated the other day he had sold like 22 LRKM's. He also has numerous orders for canyon rifles and others. He is on the same page as I about the reticle thickness. This scope with a thin reticle has a need. 25 scopes at $2400 is $60,000.00 That is not to be ignored I would think. Talking with Mark @ NF, and as I said he is an ELR shooter and wants a thinner reticle too, they do care about the ELR group. The BEAST was targeted for the tactical guys, that is obvious. So why release two scopes if one was not for us ELR shooters? I think we were indeed considered, like I said who the heck needs 120 moa of elevation to shoot below 1500 yards. I don't think the Rim Fire guys are there.... yet. Jeff
