I helped a fellow with a rifle last year that looked to be in perfect condition on the outside but he had failed to oil the bore and chamber prior to storage and just enough rust was in the chamber to grab the case. Solution was to clean the chamber with steel wool wrapped on a large bore brush, attached to a segment of cleaning rod, chucked in a hand held drill. Making sure that nothing touches the stock or other parts, spin the wool in the chamber for 30 seconds and it should polish anything out. then blow out with air, clean and very lightly oil.</p></blockquote><p></p>
