Hornady 338 caliber, 250 grain match bullet

I gave it a good try but its accuracy related performance didn't compare to Sierra's. Thus I've stuck with Sierras and settled on the SMK.

I've tried them in 7-08, 280 Rem, 7 Rem Mag, .300 H&H, .30 x .378, and .338 x .378 (from 162 grs to the 250's). Haven't been able to get a good group with any of them. I keep trying them because they sort of look like phonograph needles, and I wanted them to work. After the .338, though, I think I'll give up. The only rifle I've had that liked Hornadys at all was a .460 Wby and it liked the 350 gr jrn and the 500 gr jrn's. I don't know if it's me or the bullets, but they haven't worked for me.

Good luck, Tom
