Anybody have any thoughts on this bullet? I'd like to handload some but would really like some feedback. Any "recipes" for handloads?

for my family here in pa,our short range(0-150 yard) treestand deer loads for our 30-06's utilizes handloaded 130 hornady sp bullets. the "standard" load for a 270 win is a 130. my grandpa used them for 20 years or more. handloaded to 3000 fps they perform well on deer. bullets dont pass through. the animal "soaks" up all energy. deer either collapse on spot or run 50 yards before expiring shooting them in lungs. will continue to use them as long as they are avalible. jason

I have never used the Hornady 130 but do use the Nosler 125 BT on deer. It kills them in their tracks. 308 Win 46 grs IMR 4895. Keep it around 3000 fps muzzle velocity max. I also shoot it in my 30X47 HBR on deer at 2850 fps and out of around 25 deer shot with this bullet in both rifles I have not had a singel one even take a step after taking a front should hit from 50 to a little over 300 yards away.
