It's one of the new style Rock barrels that Kirby had made up with a different configuration on land and goove widths. 32" plus brake. It's also got a chamber with a little bit different configuration that Kirby has played with. Top accuracy can't happen without a good barrel to start with and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is a very good barrel. Having said that, I also know that unless the steel work is manipulated by a very knowledgeable and talented smith, that you won't end up with a shooter. This is a shooter and I know that Kirby waved his magic wand over this one. This is what we all want to end up with, a group of top notch parts, put together by a 1st. class precision gunsmith that ends up shooting in a fashion that gives you that feeling of confidence every time you crawl in behind it to break a shot. You just know it's gonna shoot and all you have to do is eliminate pilot error and it's a done deal. Clay pigeons break, target dots disappear and animals drop at the shot.:):) Now if I can just find an animal to co-operate with me. I know what you mean about the temps. Been up in the hills 3 times this week and it's been long sleeve and jacket weather. Looked over some nice deer country today but couldn't find a bear. Did see a nice bobcat but he launched himself off the bank into deep brush before I could even think about getting ready.
