Interesting debate about the rbbt v. bt v. fb bullets but all I want is a bullet that will hit where it is aimed and do enough damage to insure a clean kill. From the looks of the henson bullets tumbling at reduced velocities I think it would do the trick. Even though it isnt a classic mushroom and doesnt grenade it seems that it would be sufficient. I know the length of those things is insane so even doubled over they have to leave an inch wide wound tract. I would think that even with a heart lung hit any animal shot with those things is dead on its feet. Sure you would have to track it for 30-40 yards most probably in a straight line until the animal became unconscious. I would also thing with a high shoulder hit you would get a DRT result. Am I wrong about it? I dont take TX heart shots (no offense meant texans, I didnt coin the term) so in my way of thinking any penetration further than about 9 inches is a waste. I guess my question is this, whats wrong with a bullet tumbling anyway? Seems to me it would create enough damage and have sufficient penetration to reliably let the air out of any animal I am likely to shoot; so long as it lands in a vital area. Even an accubond (which I really like) isnt going to do much better if your gut shooting them. I guess I just tend to focus more on bullet placement than performance. IMO the only thing that makes a bullet unsuitable for hunting is that it blows apart before reaching the vitals or pencils through, I do not see either of these with the Henson bullets.......but then again I dont know much. I wonder how reliably they will tumble. As long as they tumbled on impact every time seems like they would work great, I dunno.
