Help with thumbhole stocks

I have been considering a Bell and Carlson thumbhole stock but also looked at a Ross featherwieght thumbhole and a Tundra delux thumbhole. Both of the latters are a good deal cheaper and don't have bedding blocks and are laminate instead of composite. If I got one of the cheaper stocks and had it pillar and "glass" bedded(I know it's not actually fiberglass anymore) would it be worth the savings over the B and C with a bedding block and "glass" bedded? Insights, personal experiences, or gunsmiths welcome!
