Start from lower like at 69 gr and work up to the 72 gr charge watching your velocities. 72 gr should get you into the neighborhood of 3550 fps. You can play with OAL to fine tune from 3.130 on up to 3.250. Most have success around 3.170 to 3.190. The TSX is a good match for the velocities the 257 is capable of. Kills well and doesn't bloodshoot the meat up so much. I think it will outpenetrate most other hunting bullets also. Alot of guys shoot this load in their 257's over at 24hr campfire.com. It works well in my rem 700 sps stainless. I haven't tried it in my vanguard submoa yet as I run accubonds in it. That load is Wby brass, fed 215M, 73.5 gr RL25, 110 gr AB, OAL 3.250. As always, start lower and work up for "your" gun!
