I know this has been asked a few times, but I'll rehash it one more time. I need a break for my 6.8SPC, and maybe a Vltor A5 system. I'd like my wife to be able to use it for yotes and closer deer, but after 2 rounds, she won't shoot it again till I tame it a bit more. My barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and uses a 308 sized break. I'm running it with just the thread protector now, and it's really not too bad, but momma doesn't agree:D (she's been spoiled with big heavy bench guns). I thought about about the OPS break, heard good things reguarding muzzle rise and felt recoil, but bad as far as the bark goes. I figured I'd ask the serious AR guys here what y'all thought. I know they all make a rig bark worse, but some seem to be better than others. This is a hunting rig, so it'd be nice to skip the ear plugs once in a while(I know you shouldn't, but it's a risk I'm ok with if I can find something that isn't super loud) I'd like to take it off completely when I use it anyway. Then there's the matter of the Vltor A5. The wife did a little research on her own and seems to think it'll be worth the $$$, but I'm not so sure. I like their stocks, so I might just get the whole system anyway (plus if momma's gonna let me spend some $$$ on a gun without being ****y about it, it's a win-win) The rig is just over 8lbs, scoped and loaded, and I'd hate to add a bunch of weight just to tame it a little, so what'd ya think? Any input is welcome! Thanx Cody
