I want to know who makes the best heavy duty lightweight weaver/picitinny rings out there. I am thinking aluminum but I want something that is also durable.

Seekins Precision, Nightforce has their own alum. rings, etc. These are made from 7000 series aluminum and stronger than steel, pound for pound--plenty strong for the application and lighter to pack around than steel and won't rust.

Murphy Precision makes a picatiny ring out of titanium. A lot stronger than aluminium and impervoius to weather.
