It looks like I'll be upgrading the Cannon 30D to the 40D and adding along with the USB/WiFi thinger that allows remote control and downloading via desktop or laptop. This should make life easier in the plane when taking aerial images. One of these days I've gotta get me a decent lens for wildlife photography.
Meanwhile I ordered a super hooty $39.95 Digiscope adapter from Cabelas. I'm more excited about this than the 40D. Its gotta work better than the gizmo I made.
The intended use with with the Nikon XL-II spotter which appears pretty good to me. We'll see how well this "inexpensive" route goes.
