News From Leupold®
America's Optics Authority™
New Leupold Mark 4® Long Range/Tactical Front Focal
Riflescope Allows Range Estimating at All Power Settings
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Designed for military and law enforcement professionals,
Leupold's® Mark 4® Long Range/Tactical (LR/T™) riflescope line now includes new
3.5-10x40mm M1 and M3 Front Focal models that allow range estimating at all power settings.
With the reticle in the front focal plane, it expands as magnification is increased. As a
result, range can be estimated at any magnification setting.
"This new Leupold Mark 4 LR/T riflescope has a combination of features that can give
response teams a distinct advantage at extreme distances," said Chris O'Donnell, Leupold's
tactical market leader. "In addition to range estimating capability, it offers superior optics that
deliver edge-to-edge sharpness across the visual field, and bright, clear images out to 1,000 yards.
Low-light capability is outstanding, and dialing in that long-range target is fast, easy and dead-on
with either the M1 or M3 option. Finally, like all Leupold Mark 4 riflescopes, the LR/T Front
Focal can be counted on for repeatable accuracy and rugged, waterproof dependability."
The 3.5-10x40mm LR/T Front Focal riflescope is available with a range estimating Mil
Dot reticle or Leupold's new Tactical Milling Reticle (TMR). Compared to existing Mil Dot
reticles, the TMR is designed to provide increased ranging precision and accuracy.
Other features include Leupold's Index Matched Lens System™. This lens coating
system provides an exceptionally bright and clear sight picture with sharp contrast, even in lowlight
conditions.
In addition, each LR/T Front Focal riflescope model has finger-adjustable, knurled knobs
for windage and elevation. Audible, tactile "clicks" allow precise adjustments. The oversized,
knurled dials are designed for easy gripping and use in various shooting positions, even in wet
conditions. The tall M1 dials have ¼-MOA "click" adjustments, while the bullet drop
compensation marked M3 dials have ½-MOA windage adjustment and 1-MOA elevation
adjustment.
