For Sale - Rem Model 722, 222 Rem. Mag., 1.5 oz. trigger, shoots like poison.
I bought this rifle as an action donor rifle. Later I found out that a nearby gun club hosted money shoots every Sunday. They had a factory class for group & score.
Any factory sporter weight rifle was allowed, triggers, bedding & scopes were wild. I bedded the action, installed a 2 oz. trigger, mounted a 36x scope. I did some load tweaking & the little 722 shot tiny groups at 100 yds. I competed with it many weekends that season & the rifle was undefeated for both group & score at 100 & 200 yds.
There are no front or rear sights. There are no front sight plug screws and there is some rust in this area (see pics).
It would also make a dandy varmint rifle.
