I am pretty sure I want to stay away from the 7mm wsm, and the 7mm saum due to barrel life considerations- I live 11 miles from a range that has 600yd availability, and I tend to shoot a LOT. [QUOTE="tropicmaster, post: 315432, member: 20284"] Shot the S&W1500 yesterday with 6 different loads and it just does not have moa in it, much less sub moa. It is still a great hunting rifle, and I will keep it for that. As a bonus I got to shoot 2 hogs while down there yesterday. The 140gr Nosler partition did a number on both of them! So if I want to get into semi serious LR I am going to have to get another platform to work with. Lets talk about rifle first. If it is Savage which model# ? Since I am essentially starting over I can go with whatever caliber I choose.
