I just orderd a A3 fnh spr in a 300wsm. Was it a good choice? And what distance could I expect to get out of this rifle?

A friend of mine had a FN SPR in 308 Win. It shot superbly, sub .5 MOA with both the 155 and 175 Sierra MatchKings. It was a solid long range rifle. The reason I say had, he shot the barrel out of it and it is being rebarreled at this time. From what I have read on several sites they are very good rifles. I know his was.

If that's the one with the A3 stock, I can say it's right pretty. That stock is my pick, well, one of them!
As far as range, give yourself a high-BC ~165g bullet and a 30 degree muzzle angle and you should reach close to 4500 yards.
Better lay your target facing up, though.
