Congrats on the first dog of the year! I myself have been pushing a little harder as more and more coyotes have been attacking local pets. Due to 2 unfortunate events I was able to obtain permission on 2 property’s less then 3 mins from my place that have never been hunted before and have been seeing more yotes this year then ever before! Nothing like that coyote popping up out of no where! Yesterday morning we hit a new property for the first time after the owner approaching us about a problem he has, walking into the stand there was 2 dogs out in the field. Trying to get set up my brother dumps the first one a 263yards and the second makes too much distance too fast before we could get off another shot. We pack up and head to the second property when the owner texts me saying his employees just spotted another behind there burn pit. Quick u-turn and high tail it back to the property. Quickly get set up and turn on the foxpro and within 30 seconds here he comes! Little yelp stops him at 250yards I’m the dot quick shot by my brother drops him but he bounced back up real quick, a follow up shot by myself finished him off! Nice way to start the morning! What are you shooting for these coyotes?
