Factory Ammo

    How accurate is factory ammo? Can you shoot 800 yards accurately with 300 RUM, using premium ammo? Or do you have to reload for this range?

    It could easily happen!

    If you find a good LOT of ammo make sure you head back to the store and buy all that's available.

    For the last two years I've assisted in a two one three private long range hunting class for elk hunters. The rifles are Browning and Sako (TRG-42) in 300 Win mag and 338 Lapua. These folks shoot factory ammo and get precision sufficient for 800 yard shots (although they know they're not proficient much past 600 yards for elk hunting).
