This was chronographed with the Oehler 35P and no pressure signs on brass.

Well, it is a little ragged......................:D
BUT, give us the gear details!!
My 300 winny build should be done anyday----the wait is killing me. Am planning on using the 215 berger also.

Randy

It was a 27 1/2" Benchmark barrel in a sendero contour, Vais muzzlebrake, on a Remington 700 action. The load i used is 78.0gr. of Retumbo, Remington Brass, and a Federal 215 primer, with a 215 Berger Hybrid .696 BC the average muzzle velocity was 2989 fps at 5752 foot elevation. i will be dialing this one in out to 1300+ yards just was doing some load development first. This load is over max so if anyone sees this make sure to use a lighter load in your rifle and work your way up to what best fits your gun! here is a couple pics of this rig.

I used some H1000 loads and had 1/4" to 1/2" groups at 100 yards, this load I used another 300 win mag that it really liked so I gave it a try off the start of this one since it was a exact build. im about 15 thousanths off the lands

Pretty hard to beat and why I shoot a 300 win over a 7mm. Non believers run these numbers yourself.

Congrats on a great shooting rifle and a killing machine.

Jeff

Yeah I would go down alittle and it might tighten the group up. All kidding aside Great group I am still waiting on my 300 verrrrrrrrry patiently.:D

yes sir, i have to say i was surprised with the ballistics of the 300 win mag, it will be interesting to see some kills down range now!gun)

Here are a couple pics of a 2 shot group at 806 yards, it measured 1.080 inches from center of bullet impact...I would have shot a 5 shot but with the way things are with bullets, powder ect. I didn't think it was necessary. I did shoot 1,031, 1104, and 1257 yards and everything was Dead on! thought you guys would like to see a little update of what the group turned into down range.
