Could you give me your opinions as too what NEEDS too be done on a Rem 700 action too get the best accuracy from it?

What does blue-printing the action consist of?
What brand of barrels do you like?
Who are some of the smiths you can recommend for longrange work?

I have a 7mmstw sendero and a 300 rum w/laminated stock too work with, which one do you think would make the best 1000yd gun, used mainly for longrange hunting.

Thanks for all the help.

Adjust the trigger (or go aftermarket), bed the stocks and load them up. I've had several Rem 700's and everyone of them would shoot 1/2moa with good handloads.

From my experience, trigger job or trigger replacement, bedding of the action, develop a load, practice with the rifle; in that order.

I saw a great article a couple of years bacck about the most cost effective accurizing techniques, and this was the order set out by that author too.
