I am new to this forum and soon to be new to long range hunting. I have had a great time viewing many posts and feel there is a great deal of knowlege that is so helpful. I have ordered a model 12 Savage in 22-250 with thum hole stock. My question is will the 4200 Elite 6-24x50 fit without high mounts and for that matter how much diferense is there between the said 40mm. and 50mm. Thanks so much for your help.
