While shooting my Remington 700 300WM today, I ran across an issue I haven't before. Tried several loads with no issue and then started a new group. I was shooting 76 grains of H1000 and 208 grain A-Maxes. When I fired the first shot, the brass would not eject and stayed in the chamber. It didn't seem hot as there was no issue with bolt lift with the others, it just would not catch to eject. I knocked the brass out with a slight tap from a cleaning rod entered in the muzzle and then fired two more of the same bullet/powder combo with no issue. Anyone have any ideas why? Every other round out of 5 3-shot groups and different powder/bullet combos done fine.
