Last week I was sniped by another buyer on eBay. I was bidding on a WWII Colt slide for my 1911A1. I wanted the slide to match the frame since I have a mismatched A1.
Mine was the winning bid until about less than one minute. I was at work watching clock tick down when the phone range. Then another bid came in and topped mine. While I was trying to help the client and make another bid my phone decided to take a dump.
I lost the bid by nearly $200. It never fails that when I need to do something the phone rings as if on cue.
I really need the slide to make my A1 correct but not at the expense of a client.
