Not to send this thread sideways but I too have become less positive on Bore Tech Eliminator.
I do however like their rods. I have however not had a failure which would certainly taint my view.
I had been considering one of the Proof Positive Rods,,,,,may have to reconsider....

I have a couple of the Dewey but recently bought a BoreTech. The BoreTech are much better quality. I won't buy another Dewey. I have always gone with the coated rods based on recommendations. I haven't been disappointed in the coated rods so far.
