[QUOTE="mbianchini, post: 28028, member: 935"] Jared- What barrel what twist what powder, brass and primer?? What range you shooting at 100? If 100yds I would try 200yds because those big bullets don’t fully become stable to about 150yds and some times more. I found that the big 6mm bullets shoot better on the lands. When I start playing around with a new barrel I rarely play with seating depth. All my 243 Imp. barrels are cut with the same chamber reamer that Dave Manson ground to my specs. Basicly the reamer is throated to shoot only the big VLD bullets and a .271NK I found that you only gain a few FPS from seating the bullets on the lands and a bit more pressure. ALWAYS take into consideration all load combinations are different. At this present time I been shooting Lilja 3 groove barrels which are a .237 .243 land groove combination and been having good luck with them. I was shooting a Krieger in the spring it was a .236 .243 land groove combination and 4 groove. With the .001 smaller Krieger bore I have to load 1.5 grains less powder compared to the Lilja to get the same velocity as the Lilja 3 groove.
