I have a LH 452 Lux and a good friend of mine has a 452 Ultra Lux. The longer barrel of the Ultra Lux comes into play primarily when shooting with open sights. It also seems to have an effect on the super duper high velocity rounds like the stinger and the Aguila Super Max. My friend's Ultra Lux is the only rifle I have ever seen that shoots stinger and Super Max ammo accurately. Using a scope, there is no detectable difference in accuracy between the two guns. All .22's are finicky about ammo to one extent or another. I have never seen a rimfire rifle that did not show a distinct preference for one factory load or another. The CZ's, in my experience, tend to be less finicky than most. Where match ammo is concerned, the only way to know is to try it. It is my understanding that subsonic ammo tends to be more accurate at the longer ranges because the bullet does not get buffeted when it goes from supersonic to subsonic. It is also my understanding that, for some reason, subsonic loads have less wind drift. I have had very good performance from both CCI minimags and velocitors in my rifle. I have not, however, shot it much @ 100+ yards. I am set up to do that, but haven't done much of that yet. One of the great things about the CZ rifles is that you get a lot of rifle for the money spent to buy one. You have to spend a lot more ($1000 and up) to find a rifle that will consistently outshoot a CZ. That being the case, some experimentation would seem to me to be worth the effort.
