Shot this male coyote this morning at 105 yards on the run with my 338 EDGE w/300g SMK. DRT!! 300g SMK showed good expansion. Saw another one and ranged him at 460, but he took off running and never did stop.

Nice photo & nice shot. Any hit on the run is a good shot, no matter the distance.

Judging by the picture you may consider a larger caliber for coyotes. That appears to be marginally adequate.

    ;)

what was the entry point on that shot? , i assume the massive chest cavity hole is the exit.

For sure some ood shooting, its amazing how small those things can seem when they're on the move, and man did that open him up. My coyote buyer here just shakes his head and points me to the burn pile when I bring him dogs like that.

What is DRT? Dead Right There?

Doesn't look like a second shot was required. :)
