My buddy and I have pulled cow tags for the second rifle season in Colorado 75 and 751. Neither of us have spent anytime in the back country in this area. But the areas that we are familiar with didn't have tags available.
Does anyone have any experience in these units this year or in the past few years.
I am curious about what the Missionary Ridge burn area is like 8 years after the fire. Is it still a big elk magnet?
We are back packing in and willing to hike up to 6 miles in or so to get away from the crowds. Any tips would be helpful.
