I recently had a rifle built in 338 Lapua it has a 27" Broughton 5c barrel. I've been keeping track of exactly how many rounds down range.
I broke the barrel in according to my gunsmith, after that I cleaned every 20 to 40 rounds up to round 194. I then wanted to see how many rounds I could go before it lost accuracy, I'm currently up to round 378 with no measurable loss in accuracy. (184 without cleaning)
Here's the question. Should I keep going?
I'd like to find out were it falls off but in the other hand I don't want to harm the barrel.
