Cleaning out your chamber??

I am having a heck of a time cleaning out the inside of my chamber. I have tried using a 12ga cotton barrel swab but I just can't seem to get all of the build up out.

Might try a brass brush or smear JB on the swab or a patch and spin it with a drill....if it's really bad - off to a smith to polish out on a lathe.

What caliber, gun and what type of build up?
