Chrony Chronographs...

Years ago i had friend with an Ohler 33, You had to build your own sky screen holders, we used two sections of muffler pipes. It was amazing how accurate it was. I then got a chrony, it was so easy to set up and very portable. The same loads in the same gun i used the 33 on was all over the place...the best thing that happend to me was i loaned the chrony out to a friend and he SHOT it by accident, or did he? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

TireurDelite, G.G. and I did a little test about a year ago that pretty much tells the tale. We set up his 35 Oehler at 10 feet, then put my old Pro Crono right in front of it. Then we put a freinds new Beta master Crony right behind the 35 and shot a six shot string with a 300 ultra mag. This was a real eye opener for me and I haven't used the Pro Crono since.

O 35-#1-3354 #2-3351 #3-3355 #4-3356 #5-3355 #6-3351
Crony #1-3290 #2-3301 #3-3293 #4-3289 #5-3280 #6-3275
Pro Cr #1-3324 #2-3339 #3-3333 #4-3345 #5-3324 #6-3321

Just looking at the SD's from either of the cheap units you would have been shaking your head about how this load could have just shot a group in the threes with that bad of numbers. Buy a GOOD Chronograph it will save you money. 7mmrhb
