Catch a savage axis on sale. As much as I don't like Wal-Mart I got one a few months back in 223 for $194. Shoots great and can't beat the price! Like it enough that I have a lefty just like it on the way.-- New from gunbroker about $300 for the lefty.

Agree, I also got a Savage Axis Stainless that sit on the back seat or floor when it falls. old fixed 4 power Zeiss that looks horrible but holds the zero. This is my coyote killer on the ranch.

Or a ruger american Predator. They shoot amazingly well for how cheap they are!
